Drift Hunters – Old School Vibes In A Free Modern Drifting Game

Drift Hunters

The thrill of getting behind the wheel of a fast car and racing through a track is something that only a few people get to experience. For the rest of us, we rely on vicarious living and video games to get our thrills.

Games like Gran Turismo and Forza have plenty of vehicular action for fans of cars to enjoy, but those games only get released every few years. For those car fans who are looking for something more immediate and readily available, there is Drift Hunters.

This in-depth drifting simulator has all of the bells and whistles of its console counterparts while going its own way in terms of game mechanics. If you’re looking for your next car game obsession, then here are some things that make Drift Hunters great.

Tons of Cars

To take you through the game’s many tracks, Drift Hunters has over 25 unlockable cars that are based on real-life sports cars. Each one is meticulously detailed and faithfully represents its inspiration, including cars like the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and Nissan GTR.

What’s more, each car can be upgraded with a variety of parts to improve its overall performance on the track. You’re never stuck with the stock version of any of these already powerful vehicles. With this many cars and all of their respective upgrades, there is plenty of variation in how you approach your drifting strategies.

Customizability

Each car can also be customized in an in-depth customization menu. This menu allows you to choose from four different types of paint (Matte, Gloss, Metallic, and Chrome) as well as any color of paint you can imagine.

The number of possible paint and type combinations is staggering, ensuring you and your friends are extremely unlikely to have similar-looking cars, even if they are the same model.

No-Cost Fun

With all of this content, you wouldn’t be faulted for thinking that Drift Hunters is a full-priced game. However, the entire game is available completely for free. There is no charge for any part of the Drift Hunters experience, which is a great departure from other car games that charge you first to play the game, and then again to gain access to its DLC.

With this much fun and content being provided at no cost, you don’t have much to lose in trying out Drift Hunters.

Easily Accessible

Besides being completely free, Drift Hunters is also incredibly accessible. The full game runs within your browser of choice, as a result of its Unity engine foundations. The Unity engine allows for intricate 3D worlds and immersive gameplay within the confines of something as small as a web browser.

All you have to do is load the game up, and you’re off to the races. Drift Hunters also doesn’t take up any space on your hard drive, as it doesn’t require an extra download to run efficiently on your PC web browser.

Even if the game runs at a less-than-stable frame rate, there are graphical settings that you can turn down to suit your needs. With all of its features and accessibility, Drift Hunters might be one of the best browser games out there.
