To download YouTube videos in Linux you have to follow certain steps. There are not quite much of steps and the procedure is easy as well. You need to follow only two steps for the task and they are described here in detail.
First step: First of all you have to install a download tool in your machine. To install it open your terminal and hit the command
sudo apt-get install youtube-dl
Then you will be asked for password of the user. Hit the user password and click y for the next y/n question that appears in the terminal.
Congratulations! The setup is complete and now you can start downloading videos.

Second step: Now all you have to do is go to YouTube, copy the link of the video you want to download, open the terminal and use the following command
youtube-dl<space>the link of the video
For example: youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4g3ms_ftclE
Hit enter and your video will start downloading.
