This article is for our gamer girls as I’ll be reviewing the Somic GS510 wireless gaming headset. It has a famous cute cat ear headset design with RGB lights.
Inside the Box
The box includes a USB to USB-C cable for charging, wireless adapter, a headphone jack cable for wired use, an instruction manual, two pairs of magnetic speaker tags and of course the wireless headset.
Features
The speaker tags make this headset unique and extremely cute. These tags hold their place well and won’t pop unless you use some force.
There is a touch sensor inside the left speaker tag, which is used to control the RGB Lights. To change the RGB colors, tap and hold the bottom of your left speaker for about three seconds. RGB lights are built inside the cat ears and outer side or ear cups.
It’s also important to note that the light-up function only works when the headset is connected through the USB. You can choose between eight different RGB colors and three different modes.
On the bottom of this headset there is a headphone jack and USB-c port, which is used for charging.
On the back of the left ear cup, you have your power button, mode button, mute switch and volume control dial.
Make sure you use the wireless adapter to connect these headphones to your PC or console because they connect using the wireless connection not Bluetooth. They connect instantly and you don’t need to do anything else.
Design & Comfort
It comes with a flexible and retractable microphone. It stays out of the way when you don’t need it. The inside of the headband has the same cute kitty design, made on the speaker tags to match the overall theme.
The ear pads are comfortable and soft. They fit around my ears perfectly and they’re not too big. It’s a good size for gamer girls. The ear cups provide a good seal and no sound escapes from it, while you are playing games or listening to music.
The quality of this headset is good and it feels a bit heavy but you will get used to it.
Sound
It has a 7.1 surround sound system with large 50mm speaker drivers, which provides high quality sound. You will clearly hear all the in-game sounds coming from the surrounding, which provides you the much needed advantage on the opponents.
They have a perfect amount of bass, not too much and not too low.
There are three preset sound modes, game, live-streaming and music. You can quickly change between them according to the requirement.
